Dr. Patricia Van Boekel
Sport Medicine Clinic
​​​​​​​​​​​Dr. Van Boekel completed her medical training at Memorial University in Newfoundland.  This was followed by a Family Medicine residency and an Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Queen's University. 
Since 2001, she has worked in emergency medicine in both Midland and Stratford, Ontario.

In 2015, Trish completed a Sport Medicine Fellowship at Western University within the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic in London, Ontario.  She worked at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine clinic as a Primary Care Sport Physician from 2015-2016.

Trish has her Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine Diploma and is currently an adjunct professor at Western University in the Dept. of Family Medicine and Dept. of Emergency Medicine.

Outside the office, Trish is the team physician for the Stratford Warriors Junior B hockey team and volunteers with many other sport organizations.

In her spare time, Trish enjoys canoeing, kayaking, running and playing hockey.

Laurie McKertcher
Office Manager
​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Laurie is the smiling and friendly office manager you will meet when you come to the office. Laurie has been Dr. Van Boekel's office assistant since the office opened in 2016. She grew up on a farm outside of Listowel but now calls Stratford her home.

Laurie has training in custom and non custom brace selection and fitting.  She has completed the advanced  bracing certification at the OSSUR Academy.
